I consider it a privilege and a gift to walk alongside individuals on their journeys to health and healing. I find myself continually energized by the strength and courage of those desiring to embark on the path of personal growth. Walking alongside individuals on this journey brings deep significance to my own life and is an opportunity I do not take for granted. I am truly honored to join clients as they process pain, celebrate progress and move towards increasing a sense of self-confidence and joy in daily living.
I am eager to work with children, adolescents, and adult women regarding an array of presenting concerns. In particular, I am passionate about working with women and teens surrounding the issues of body image, self-esteem, and dissociation. Eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and relationship conflicts are issues my heart responds deeply to.
Drawing on expressive arts for therapeutic purposes has become a passion of mine. Incorporating art modalities such as painting, dance, and music into therapy has proven to be powerful for those who connect with these forms of expression. I am eager to provide opportunities for individuals to explore themselves through the arts. By doing so, I aim to help clients gain awareness of, as well as access to, their own internal resources. In effect, drawing on these often hidden resources allows clients to sustain a state of empowerment and strength.
I have completed both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University (TWU). Since completing these degrees I have continued to expand my skills and knowledge by attending trainings and conferences, facilitating therapeutic group work and workshops, as well as through staying up to date with current research. As a therapist, I am committed to continuing professional development as well as my own personal growth. Additionally, I am certified in Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI) and incorporate its use in therapy, alongside an eclectic array of other therapeutic interventions. This variety allows me to more effectively respond to individual preferences and the diverse concerns of the people I work with. I seek to provide a safe environment, respect, compassion, and psychological knowledge for my clients as they work through the life challenges and pain that they face.
